Position Overview

PKF Antares is seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable, and ambitious Junior / Intern Auditor to join our team at either our Calgary or Mississauga offices. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on international auditing experience while supporting engagements involving Bermuda-based clients and regulatory frameworks. This opportunity can also support Co-op and Work Integrated learning terms.

You will work alongside experienced professionals on cross-border engagements, gaining exposure to international compliance requirements and Bermuda-specific financial reporting environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with audit engagements for Bermuda-related client accounts, ensuring compliance with both Canadian and Bermudian regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct bank, account, and financial reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
• Assist with corporate filings and compliance documentation for Bermuda-related engagements.
• Perform research on Bermuda regulatory requirements and industry-specific obligations.
• Provide bookkeeping and accounts payable support where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF).
• Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a cross-border professional environment.

Preferred Assets

• Exposure to Bermuda’s regulatory environment, corporate structures, or financial services sector.
• Experience using CaseWare or other audit software.
